AGGREGATES ISSUE: NSSGA Congressional ALERT on H.R. 1603 Vote Tomorrow!
Ladies and Gentlemen,

Good afternoon.

We ask that you contact your Member of Congress immediately and urge them to vote NO on the expected vote on H.R. 1603, the Alan Reinstein Ban Asbestos Now Act of 2019. The current text of the legislation includes broad and confusing definitions that will make it harder for you to do your job to responsibly produce the building blocks of our country. While we support a federal ban of commercial asbestos, the proper definitions need to be included. CONTACT CONGRESS NOW and ask your legislator to oppose H.R. 1603 as currently drafted to allow more time to properly address this issue.
